After Libya - Do We Go Into Africa Next?: Week of 4-4-2011
It's April Fools; so David and I list the fools we have to contend with.
Andrew Breitbart who says of Sarah Winkie Doll, "I think the presidency is beneath her" I didn't think there was anything anything beneath her, certainly not solid ground.
Newt Gingrich who fears his grandchildren will grow up in a "radical, Islamist, secular atheist country." No wonder the Newtser's favorables have plunged 23 points to -31. He's lost the radical, Islamist, secular atheist demographic.
Freshman Garden Gnome Tom Marino (R-PA), who fears that now that we've stuck our nose into Libya we might go into Africa next. Just because you sit on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, doesn't mean you have to be able to tie your shoes or read a map.
Donald Trump who's throwing his toupee into the ring; allowing him to speak on weighty matters and expose his utter ignorance for all to see. Why doesn't he just fire himself?
All the Republican candidates, about whom veteran journalist Joe Klein writes, "I have never before seen such a bunch of vile, desperate-to-please, shameless, embarrassing losers coagulated under a single party's banner. "Coagulate" is right - curds who can't find their whey.
Tony Hayward, who's sweating it out, while U.S. investigators consider bringing him and bunch of other top BP suits up for manslaughter. Did you ever wonder why the media forgot all about the 11 who died on the platform?
Snooki Polizzi who got 32 k from Rutgers to remind the students to "study hard, but party harder." We're doomed!
It's a small list of fools, but we only had so much time. David wrapped up the show with another Spring poem from his superb "Old Man" series.
Want to thank the Ozinears who donated to Radio Free Oz last week. If you all haven't pushed the big green button over to the left, now's the time. It's always the time, but then again, it's always now.
